Hi! My name is Marj. I’ve been posting on my YouTube channel, "A Rose Grows in Harlem", for the past 12+ years.

This channel started as my introduction and documentation of indoor gardening in an NYC apartment. I focused on rose seeds because I couldn’t find a YouTube video with my specific conditions and needs. I ended up growing other plants, flowers, and seedlings, but no roses were successful.

I have since moved from New York to Georgia and have been gardening both in and outdoors. With a longer growing season in Zone 7b/8a, and a TON of more sunlight and LED grow lights, the possibilities are endless!

I appreciate all the followers that have come to watch the journey! As I grow as a gardener, I have also decided to grow my channel to garden adjacent activities like preserving food, seed saving, and even garden artwork. I can’t wait to continue my experiments with the garden and share with all of you! ^_^
